Hello! I’m Stephen.
I’m passionate about all things fermentation.
I am a Research Associate at Mascoma, a Lallemand company, where I work on strain development. I hold a B.S. in Fermentation Sciences from Appalachian State University, where I contributed to research focused on bioprospecting wild Appalachian yeast species. I’ve worked for breweries in the brewhouse, cellar, and quality lab, and I hold a degree in Technical Writing from Virginia Tech.
